We’re currently recruiting for a Sample Management Operator to join our ADQC Team. In this role, you will receive, store, issue, pack, ship, organise and dispose of samples in a controlled manner, playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.
Our QC team supports the development of products through analytical testing to facilitate manufacturing, shelf life setting and process development, ensuring appropriate quality controls and use of analytics.
Your responsibilities in this role would be:
1. Receiving samples from manufacturing sites, checking condition, ensuring samples are logged in and stored appropriately
2. Organise and prepare outgoing shipments of samples to external testing organisations / clients.
3. Issuing samples to Scientists
4. Navigating LIMS processes for sample management activities.
5. Ensuring any discrepancies are noted and dealt with in a timely manner
6. Ensure a good standard of record keeping and documentation
7. Authoring and reviewing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentation
8. Ownership and troubleshooting of processes to ensure procedural efficiencies
9. Responsible for liaising and leading meetings with other teams / departments
10. Maintain and update SM scheduling and metrics tools in timely manner
11. Work both independently and as part of cross functional teams
We are looking for:
12. Educated to a minimum of GCSE or equivalent qualification level or able to demonstrate required skills gained within another workplace
13. Proven experience with sample handling
14. Experience using LIMS (not essential).
15. A genuine interest and drive to work in science.
16. Problem solving skills to help identify way forward when issues arise
17. Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
18. Highly organised and motivated with excellent attention to detail
19. Knowledge and experience of MS Office, Word, Excel & Outlook.
20. Thinking critically and analytically in order to problem solve.
21. An understanding and appreciation of working in a highly regulated environment, ideally GxP.
