NES Fircroft is recruiting a Physical Chemist to join a leading agricultural company. This role is based at our client's site in Bracknell.
NES Fircroft is supporting the recruitment for our client, a leading global organisation with deep roots in agricultural science and sustainability at its heart. Their mission is to improve crop productivity and make farming more efficient – enabling growers to provide healthy, high-quality food safely and sustainably.
Our Client is hiring a Physical Chemist to join their highly collaborative team, working at the cutting edge of innovation in the design and development of the next generation of agrochemicals.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for measuring, understanding, and modelling the physical properties that underpin product development. You will use a variety of techniques to deliver high-quality experimental data to tight deadlines, working closely with scientists from a range of disciplines to overcome complex challenges and develop new methods.
Key Responsibilities
Measure, analyse, and model physical properties to support product design
Apply a range of analytical and chromatographic techniques
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to solve challenging scientific problems
Design and deliver new assays, methods, and approaches to meet project demands
Maintain high levels of accuracy and critically evaluate experimental dataWhat We’re Looking For
PhD or strong undergraduate degree in Chemistry or related discipline
Practical understanding of analytical and chromatographic techniques
Knowledge of how physical properties influence behaviour in biological systems
Strong attention to detail and critical analysis skills
Evidence of collaboration within multi-disciplinary project teams
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
Excellent Communication SkillsAdditional Information
Initial 12-month contract, with potential for extension
