Job Description
In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, while also receiving hands-on training and support to develop your expertise in payroll systems, legislation, and best practices. 3. Full start to finish process for the Groups payroll.
4. Analysis of key trends and variance reports of actual staffing numbers and costs v's the budget.
5. Structured reporting and development of a suite of reports for Key Finance and Operational Managers to report on the employment cost base.
6. Collation of payroll data from depots, conducting relevant checks on time and attendance data received
7. Building a rapport with staff throughout the business, particularly managers responsible for payroll data
8. Completing relevant manual calculations
9. Reconciliation of payroll using excel and Sage
10. Administration of liability orders
11. Pension submissions
12. Administration of employee benefit packages
13. Onboarding staff from the point of offer to ensure all information is captured correctly for payroll and benefits purposes.
14. Offboarding staff efficiently.
The Successful Applicant
15. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical to this role
16. Organisational skills and ability to work to tight timescales
17. Flexibility to working hours when processing payroll (our payroll is processed on either a 4-weekly basis or monthly basis)
18. Excel IT skills including Vlookups and Pivot tables.
19. Ability to maintain professionalism and respect towards others
20. Ideally 1-year experience in either an accounts or HR support role
