JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking for a Senior Officer to join our Private Equity team. We offer a dynamic, and international corporate atmosphere as well as the benefit of customised training adapted to your needs throughout your career. In this role you will be responsible for a portfolio of private equity funds clients and will work as part of a team to achieve and meet their needs. Specific responsibilities include the following:

1. Acting as the main accounting liaison and point of contact for certain clients.
2. You will be an important link between management and junior staff, responsible for and knowledgeable about the quality of the work that is carried out for your clients.
3. You will review work produced for submission to senior level staff.
4. Involvement with the day-to-day operations of the client and following up with third parties, including investors and clients.
5. Collaborating with the Company Secretary in the preparation of periodic reports and regulatory reports for the fund’s entities.
6. You will be responsible for the technical coaching of junior staff.
7. Together with the manager, you will decide and follow up on the planning of the fund accounting workflow process.
8. Ensuring effective cash management of client entities and review of cash reconciliations.
9. Bookkeeping and reporting of companies, funds and associated fund structures.
10. Preparing of client entities management accounts and financial statements under US GAAP or IFRS (primary statements and notes utilising trial balances and associated documentation).
11. Liaising with tax advisors in respect of ongoing tax compliance responsibilities.
12. Responding to clients' requests in terms of tax planning in close collaboration with external tax advisors, if needed
13. Being part of a team of part or fully qualified accountants and ensuring all reporting deadlines are adhered too.

YOUR PROFILE:

14. You are educated to the equivalent of A-Level or University Degree.
15. You hold a (or will shortly be completing your) professional qualification such as ACCA or ACA or equivalent.
16. You have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience managing structures of a similar nature (experience with Private Equity clients would be considered highly beneficial however candidates with accounting experience in other alternative asset classes would be considered). You possess team spirit, the capacity to build strong client relationships, and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate.
17. You are ambitious with a high level of energy and commitment.
18. You can work under pressure and meet a range of deadlines.
19. You possess excellent communication skills.
20. You have an adaptable approach to using appropriate software and systems (experience working with Yardi accounting system would be highly preferable).
