About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate leader to join us at our Bognor Regis Resort as part of our Facilities Department. As our Helpdesk & Compliance Manager, you will lead a team that coordinates all maintenance and repair jobs for the resort. The Facilities Helpdesk comprises a small team of operators and a Manager, working closely with the Facilities Head of Department, wider Facilities team, Resort Duty Managers, and other department leaders to ensure technical jobs are prioritized and completed timely. You will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment using our in-house systems for planned preventative maintenance and reactive jobs across all areas. You will ensure compliance and manage day-to-day compliance across the resort, adhering to Health & Safety regulations in line with Butlin’s policies and legislation. You will liaise with contractors, conduct meetings, and follow through on action plans. Your keen eye for detail and ability to maintain high standards while being guest-focused and efficient are essential. You will lead the Facilities Helpdesk team in coordinating technical and housekeeping jobs, fostering a caring environment through effective recruitment, training, and personal development. You should lead by example, inspiring your team to deliver memorable guest experiences. Regular 's and PDP discussions to support team development are vital. The role requires flexibility, as the resort operates year-round, with shifts between 8 am and 10 pm, totaling 40 hours per week.
About You
We seek a passionate leader with experience in maintenance, construction, or a facilities environment, capable of effective prioritization and planning. Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with all team levels are necessary. A curious mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo are valued. Self-motivation, proactivity, and strong problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be passionate about leading and developing your team, supporting them through regular 's and coaching. Delivering exceptional guest experiences is your priority, and you should seek continuous improvement opportunities.
