About the Role
The Integrated Care Board (ICB) is recruiting a Designated Professional/Nurse for Safeguarding Adults to support the delivery of statutory ICB responsibilities. This role will be supported by a team of Deputy Designated Professionals (All age) and Named GPs for Safeguarding (All-Age).
Although there are upcoming changes for ICBs nationally, this remains a statutory role that must be fulfilled. If interested, please contact Faye Kamara, Head of Safeguarding, for a conversation and more information.
Work Arrangements
Due to hybrid working, applicants from all areas are welcome, with the understanding that the successful candidate will be required in the office at least twice a week for team days and to attend some system meetings in person. These requirements may vary week to week based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership and support for Safeguarding Adults across the Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) Integrated Care System, in line with relevant statutory guidance and frameworks.
* Support, coach, and advise Deputy Designated Nurses/Professionals within the team.
* Contribute proactively to Safeguarding Adult Boards/Partnerships and ensure safeguarding considerations are integrated into strategic planning, clinical leadership, and service development.
* Collaborate with local authorities and health partners to promote safeguarding and clinical governance best practices.
* Lead quality assurance initiatives of safeguarding practices and promote learning from statutory safeguarding reviews.
* Provide expert advice to health providers and partner agencies on safeguarding adults at risk.
* Lead and manage the ICB Safeguarding team, including Deputy Designated Nurses/Professionals, Named GPs, and support staff.
* Support the delivery of statutory safeguarding duties in collaboration with the ICB Safeguarding Team, held accountable by the Chief Nursing Officer.
