The Role
La La Communications is looking for a Social Media & Content Manager to oversee social media and content across the agency and its client portfolio.
This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution. You will work closely with the CEO to develop social media strategies and content directions for clients, while coordinating with the intern team to deploy and execute content plans with the support and oversight of the CEO.
The role requires strong organisation, an understanding of platform behaviour, and the ability to structure content so that production and publishing can move quickly and efficiently.
What the Role Entails
* Manage all social media channels for La La Communications and our client portfolio.
* Platforms will mainly include TikTok and Instagram, while Facebook and LinkedIn remain important where relevant.
* Work closely with the CEO to develop social media strategies and campaign directions.
* Formulate structured content plans including content lists, posting cadence, and content calendars.
* Write captions and supporting copy for social media posts.
* Produce clear content briefs for the La La Communications team in Australia to edit and prepare content, allowing the team to execute at a faster pace.
* Coordinate with the intern team to deploy and schedule content across platforms.
* Plan and organise video content aligned with platform behaviour and audience engagement.
* Produce monthly lead-up content and videos for our clients in Australia.
* Stay on top of social media trends, trending music, and emerging formats across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
* Adapt content ideas and formats to suit each platform’s style and audience expectations.
* Be comfortable both in front of and behind the camera when creating content.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience managing social media accounts for brands or businesses.
* Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram content and platform behaviour.
* Experience building content calendars and structured posting schedules.
* Ability to write clear, engaging captions and social media copy.
* Experience editing or preparing video content for social platforms.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts.
* Awareness of social media trends, trending audio, and emerging formats.
* Confidence both in front of and behind the camera when producing content.
* Ability to work closely with leadership and coordinate with a wider team to execute content efficiently.
Training & Development
A one-to-one session each week with the CEO will be dedicated to training and development.
This time is designed to support personal and professional growth and can focus on any area the team member is interested in developing. It does not need to sit strictly within the role itself. Training structures will be developed in person and tailored to the individual’s interests and ambitions.
