Main Function of the role:
The Analyst will support the EMEA team in fund and co-investment execution, ranging from desktop research, initial screening, financial analysis, document preparation and presentation. In addition, the analyst will take the lead in monitoring tasks such as quarterly and annual reporting, valuation updates and data collection.
Key task and responsibilities:
Investments:
• Participate in introductory deal and fund calls
• Handle NDA and release letter negotiation
• Assist in deal screening to work through pipeline
• Conduct financial modelling and analysis
• Conduct desktop and third-party research to assist in investment decision making
• Participate in industry referencing exercises
• Prepare and present investment papers as a deal team member
• Assist in legal review and with guidance, negotiation of key points
• Participate in deal and fund update calls
• Participate, where appropriate, in due diligence trips and annual meetings
• Maintenance of fund mapping, benchmarking exercises and internal databases
Reporting:
• Quarterly and annual reporting across EMEA investments and all Hermes GPE vehicles
• Quarterly updates to valuation committee
• Assist in preparation of disposals
Business development:
• Where appropriate, support other functions with EMEA portfolio data requests
Minimum Experience Required
• Appropriate prior financial services and / or PE investing experience for 1-3 years
• Financial acumen (accounting analysis, valuation, business modelling) and clear writing skills
• Experience with data platforms such as Thomson Eikon, Capital IQ, Bloomberg viewed positively but not essential
• European language skills viewed positively but not essential
