Ward 25 is a mixed speciality Ward, specializing in Colorectal Surgery and Gastro Medicine. We are a diverse team that believes in putting patients first.
We have an exciting future planned with our Modular Ward Transformation. We will be moving into a new unit where specific areas will be designated for appropriate patient needs, incorporating our clinical Nurse Specialists into these areas. Currently, we work closely with our specialist nurses who provide ward support, teaching, and have excellent patient rapport.
As we expand our bed base, we may be able to convert fixed-term contracts into permanent positions.
We promote staff development and actively encourage sharing knowledge within teams. We also support staff rotation between our teams to maintain skills across the two specialties.
Patients benefit from the support and guidance our staff offer, and high-quality care is delivered. We have developed our End of Life Care with in-depth teaching and guidance from the End of Life Team, benefiting patients and their loved ones.
Ward 25 is an exciting place to work, with planned developments and ongoing projects. It offers a stable environment with challenging patient complexities and needs.
