Overview
An opportunity has arisen within the Immunology Department at Scunthorpe General Hospital for a full time Band 2 Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team.
The immunology laboratory is a busy hub laboratory providing an immunology service across Lincolnshire. The department is well equipped with Helena electrophoresis, Thermo Fisher allergy, Binding Site Optilite, Beckman Coulter flow cytometer, Werfen Bioflash and QL3000, Euroimmun Blotmaster and Dynex DS2 analysers.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of the immunology laboratory team in a busy hospital setting.
* Support the delivery of immunology services across Lincolnshire.
* Communicate effectively and use IT skills to record and handle information accurately.
* Participate in a 7 day, 24 hour shift service may be required.
Qualifications and Skills
* Good communication and IT skills.
* Experience of working in a team, preferably in a healthcare environment.
* Enthusiasm to learn new tasks.
* Previous relevant laboratory experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
