Telecon is looking for a Field Supervisor with prior experience in leading and managing field operations on Telecommunication outside plant maintenance (OPM) work.
This role is based out of yard in Port Perry, Ontario. This role will oversee and require travel within Durham Region spanning from the west edge of Pickering to the east edge of Newtonville and includes the Peterborough, Lindsay, and Haliburton regions.
As the Field Supervisor you will be responsible to collaborate with clients, sub-contractors, and colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of the program. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating between operational teams to achieve project deliverables within required timelines while ensuring all field change orders are captured and additional revenue is realized.

The expected annual salary for this position is in the range of $90,000 - $105,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
1. Supervise field crews and sub-contractors
2. Ensure projects are following budget
3. Plan and distribute work to field crews
4. Ensure accurate and detailed billing is completed in a timely manner
5. Travel between job sites to follow up and ensure that project timelines are maintained according to client expectations
6. Ensure that health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to
7. Provide ongoing coaching and training to team members on various aspects in the field
8. Communicate and work with clients (internal and external), Managers, Municipalities to ensure that any obstacles are removed and projects are completed to client specifications and within timeline(s)
9. Other duties as needed.
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
10. Minimum 5 years of Telecommunications/Utilities experience
11. Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in Telecommunication maintenance work preferred
12. Outstanding interpersonal, influencing skills to build strong relationships, and network effectively with all levels of the organization and with external clients and partners
13. Ability to read and interpret utility plans and general contracts
14. Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
15. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
16. Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite
17. Valid G driver’s license with a good driver's abstract and the ability to travel to various job sites
