Job Description:
Are you an organised, patient-focused professional looking to make a real impact in a busy GP practice? We’re currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a friendly and supportive team in Southampton, with an immediate start available on a Part time or Full time basis. They are ideally looking for a permanent role, but would consider Locum for the right person.
? The Role:
As the first point of contact for patients, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the practice. You will have the opportunity work in a well run organised team where you will also have the opportunity to progress and upskill if so desired.
Key Responsibilities:
* Welcoming patients in person and over the phone
* Booking, amending, and managing appointments
* Processing prescriptions and managing patient queries
* Supporting the clinical team with general administrative duties
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Confident IT user, with strong attention to detail
* Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of EMIS or SystmOne (preferred but not essential)
? Pay & Hours:
* Hourly rate: £12.25–£15.00 (dependent on experience)
