Role purpose
The primary focus of this role is to create engaging content for our website, including long- and short-form copy for site-specific materials, with consideration to SEO strategies and paid/digital channels as required. The objective is to educate customers on our formulations and brand values to drive conversion. This is a highly collaborative role, frequently liaising with Marketing, Creative, Digital Content Strategy & SEO leads. The role also involves overseeing the integration and providing support related to Copy as we migrate to NGL and supporting indirect e-commerce channels as required.
Role responsibilities
* Oversee the seamless migration to NGL, relating to content topics.
* Ensure all relevant long-form and short-form copy on onsite is finalized and optimized with alignment from Marketing, Creative and relevant stakeholders to ensure content is consistent with our tone of voice and supports business growth.
* Collaborate with the Global Copy team to release guidelines and upskill markets on localized modules to ensure a consistent Tone of Voice.
* Craft engaging short-form and long-form content for Aesop.com and support media/indirect/digital team needs as required.
* Own a roadmap for Copy optimization opportunities to address key priorities.
* Work with the SEO Lead to ensure content visibility and liaise with the UX team to ensure content meets user needs.
* Collaborate with Creative and Product teams to deliver content that meets brand and commercial objectives.
* Generate ideas for new content pieces, conduct topic research, and maintain a backlog of ideas and drafts to support business goals.
* Coordinate with markets and regions to deliver content to a consistent calendar with required assets; measure, reflect, and improve results and processes.
* Partner with Site Experience & Design Leads to AB test initiatives and hypotheses to maximize business impact.
What we are looking for

* Post-secondary education or relevant experience in advertising, literary studies, creative writing, journalism, cultural studies, media studies, or copywriting.
* Content writing experience for online business, publishing platform, or digital agency.
* Experience and knowledge of SEO strategies, eCommerce and digital marketing best practices.
* Understanding of Aesop’s brand, tone, lexicon and style.
* Experience writing short-form digital content.
* Commercial awareness and ability to inject it into work.
* Clear understanding of SEO’s role in digital content.
* Ability to tailor communications to diverse audiences without compromising Aesop’s voice.
* Knowledge of digital eCommerce and/or publishing fundamentals.
* Ability to identify issues and generate solutions and alternatives.
* Familiarity with modern content management systems and digital platforms.
* Awareness of cultural sensitivities in territories where Aesop operates.
* Ability to multitask under pressure and collaborate effectively with creative and marketing teams.
* Strong analytical, project management, stakeholder and organizational skills.
