The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Saturday long days, consisting of 31.57 hours per week.
Post: HCSW Band 3 0.85 WTE – Outpatient Haemodialysis
Please note the salary is pro‑rata for part‑time hours.
This post is for the Renal Dialysis Unit based within Stobhill Hospital, the unit provides haemodialysis treatment to renal dialysis outpatients, with two patient shifts operating each day, Monday – Saturday.
The unit is a very friendly and welcoming outpatient area, based within Stobhill Hospital. It is part of the larger regional renal services, which consist of six outpatient haemodialysis units, a community home therapies unit and the main inpatient hub housed on level 4 of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Support trained staff in the safe delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred care to patients undergoing regular haemodialysis treatment.
* Maintain knowledge of the standards expected of infection prevention and control procedures.
* Work as part of a team to support the positive and friendly atmosphere within the unit.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of infection prevention and control standards.
* Prior experience working within the NHS is preferred; evidence of learning is desirable.
* Interest in renal care is helpful.
