Our client, an electronics manufacturing business near Wakefield, require an Electronics Test Engineer to join their R&D team. The business have an excellent design team with talented electronics and software engineers and needs to strengthen its test and development skills.
You will work within the R&D team as the Electronics Test Engineer with primary involvement in electronics and software but some activity within mechanical too. You will have an opportunity to develop the automated test framework, work closely with the design team to provide feedback on prototype design as well as carrying out traditional test development activities. You’ll be joining a established business recognised as a best-in-class manufacturer with an excellent track record of developing their own people.
Electronics Test Engineer – The Role
– Produce and maintain technically accurate and illustrative (3D) Test Procedures
– Create and maintain test equipment BOMs, schematics, technical drawings
– Produce Risk Assessments, maintenance/calibration plans and trouble shoot guides
– Assemble hardware to specification and then test and debug it
– Provide technical support to Production, Quality & TPM teams
– Involvement with report / data generation process for R&D and manufacturing
Electronics Test Engineer – Skills and Abilities
– A relevant electronics qualification
– Competent in building, testing, debugging and working with analogue and digital electronics hardware
– Experience developing testing procedures for electronic products
– Ability to produce documentation of test hardware, software and processes
– Excellent computer literacy, particularly with MS Office apps Excel, Word and Outlook
