We are looking for a motivated, compassionate, and skilled Practice Nurse to cover maternity leave to join our friendly and supportive team at Richmond Clinic
Main Duties
* Chronic disease management. Eg diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension
* Cervical cytology screening
* Childhood and adult immunsations and vaccinations
* wound care and dressings
* NHS Health checks and routine screening
* Contraception services. Eg injections
* Health promotion and lifestyle advice
* Infection control, safeguarding and health surveillance

Richmond Clinic is a 6000 patient practice in the St Julians area of Newport, close to M4 j25, easy commute from Cardiff, Bristol or Monmouthshire Traditional, GP-led 3 partners, 1 salaried GP practice. Good management, admin and nursing support, very low turnover of staff
Person Specification
Experience
Essential
* Registered Nurse - NMC pin
* Experience in a clinical nursing setting
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* competent in immunisations, cervical cytology and wound care
* able to work independently and part of a team
Desirable
* Experience in a GP practice or primary care setting
* Training in chronic disease management
* experience using EMIS
Qualifications
Essential
* Registered nurse - NMC registration
