Job Description:
Job Summary
We’re hiring support workers for our centre in Worle
We support around 20 people daily at our Worle centre, providing sessions both within the building and outside, such as at our allotments and in the community.
We also offer community and enabling support for young adults and children, helping them access facilities and activities of their choice. The shifts are varied and include evenings and weekends.
Your skills and life experience could be a great match for our support worker role. All you need is a willingness to learn, flexibility, a can-do attitude, and a desire to help someone live a full life!
The support provided is tailored to each person's values, preferences, and needs, which may include developing daily living skills, accessing the community, personal care, and medication management.
A full driving licence is required for this role.
Sleep-ins are paid at £60 extra (basic salary £11.68 - £12.01 per hour). These can be worked in other services as well.
Benefits include shopping discounts (Blue Light card, EE perks, Costco membership), access to Wagestream for financial flexibility, DBS checks paid for, full training towards the Care Certificate, ongoing training and career development, contributory pension, planned rotas six weeks in advance, referral bonuses, wellbeing helplines, health cash plans, and more.
We value good communication, a positive and patient approach, resilience, respect for differences, the ability to build professional relationships, and teamwork.
Your responsibilities:
* Empowering individuals to live the lives they want
* Developing daily living skills
* Supporting access to community activities for socialisation, employment, training, or friendships
* Contributing to and implementing care plans
* Communicating effectively with support recipients, families, and professionals
* Maintaining health needs of individuals
