Barton Moss Secure Care Centre ‘A truly exceptional place to work’
We are a 27 bed Secure Care Centre which is made up of 5 residential units. We care for sentenced and remanded males under the age of 18 years and are part of the national Secure Children’s Home network
The centre has a proven track record of offering a very high standard of emotional, educational and physical care. This supports young people to succeed in their personal and academic development and resettlement back into the community.
Who we are seeking
Have you got what it takes to work with young people who can be hard to reach?
Do you have skills that will contribute to improving the life chances for our young people?
This is not the career choice for many people as there will be times when you will be verbally abused, rejected and could be exposed to some very challenging behaviour.
We need creative dynamic residential care staff who share our vision and values and who want to make a difference. We are looking for applicants who are positive, inclusive and who will strive to achieve the very best outcomes for our young people.
About the role
We are looking for colleagues who have experience, creative life skills and the resilience of working with challenging and vulnerable adolescents in a caring residential or community based setting. You would have the opportunity to make a real difference in a young person’s life.
If you think you have the qualities and experience to work within a multi-agency team who are committed to offering the highest standards of care, then we would be interested to hear from you.
What we can offer you
You will be welcomed into a supportive, experienced, and forward-thinking service who draw on a wide range of professional and specialist support from across the centre to ensure excellent outcomes for young people.
Your personal and professional development is important to us and so you will have the opportunity to work and grow in a value-based organisation where people are at the heart of everything we do. This includes access to professional qualifications.
We promote a positive permission culture, empowering you to make a difference.
At the centre there is free parking, access to staff canteen and use of the onsite gym.
