About The Role
As one of our Technician Specialists, you'll have the opportunity to bring our distinctive John Lewis service directly to customers' homes, installing products such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TVs as part of a 2-person delivery team. You will also coach and develop fellow drivers in home installations and customer service, acting as a role model for excellent service.
Salary
The starting salary for a Customer Delivery Hub Technician is expected to be £38,495 annually. You must be at least 18 years old to qualify for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent the John Lewis brand with a focus on excellent customer service.
* Coach and assess delivery colleagues, sharing knowledge to enhance team performance.
* Assist in loading deliveries and work alongside warehouse staff.
* Respect customers' homes and handle unexpected situations professionally.
* Install products efficiently and demonstrate their features to customers.
* Stay updated on new products and technologies.
* Maintain a safe working environment.
This role involves heavy lifting, including large items like sofas, white goods, beds, and mattresses.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Manual C1 UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
* DCPC and Tachograph Card.
* Previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* Strong verbal communication skills.
* Good understanding of technology.
