Job Description
We’re working with a well-known and highly respected music company that’s expanding their Rights & Royalties function. They’re looking for someone who already has experience working with royalty data and wants to grow their career in a place where development, collaboration, and progression are part of the culture.
This is a brilliant opportunity if you're interested in the nuts and bolts of how music generates income, how royalties flow through the industry, and how creators ultimately get paid. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team, with the chance to refine processes, contribute ideas, and help shape how the royalties function evolves.
What the role involves:
* Working with incoming royalty statements and reconciling data
* Digging into discrepancies and making sure everything adds up
* Producing accurate reporting and supporting the wider team with insights
* Using internal systems and databases to extract and review royalty information
* Getting involved in ongoing improvements, projects and upgrades as the business grows
What they’re looking for:
* At least 2 years’ experience working with royalties (label, publisher, distributor, royalty house, rights society, etc.)
* Confident working in Excel and handling large data sets
* Someone who enjoys problem-solving, spotting patterns, and getting the details right
* Comfortable communicating with different teams and occasionally senior stakeholders
* Any experience with SQL or BI tools is a bonus, not a requirement
Who this would suit:
Someone who wants a role where they can grow, be part of a scaling team, and actually see the impact of their work. If you’re naturally curious about royalties and rights, enjoy a bit of detective work with data, and want to stay in the music industry long-term, this will be a great fit.
