Key Responsibilities
* Be a company ambassador and champion a no compromise approach to HSQE.
* Create, update and review policy and procedures.
* Undertake management system audits, produce reports and recommendations.
* Ensure compliance with environmental and health & safety legislation.
* Conduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspections.
* Deliver engaging HSQE training and toolbox talks.
* Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, by reviewing and updating policies, procedures, and systems to ensure they are robust and effective.
* Prepare reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
* Assist the HSQE Manager in achieving environmental, quality and safety objectives and targets.
* Lead or support internal and external audits and inspections.
* Support or lead investigations into incidents and raise actions to address lessons learned and monitor for effectiveness.
* Promote a positive health, safety, quality and environmental culture through training, toolbox talks, and engagement with teams.
* Collaborate on delivery projects reducing or eliminating hazards and improving operational efficiency.
* Work with clients and external bodies taking advantage of opportunities to enhance IUS health, safety & quality arrangements
* Mentor, advise and collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and improve safe working practices and processes.
* Champion environmental initiatives and support the development of sustainable working practices across the business
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
* Recognised HSQE audit qualification.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing lean HSQE procedures.
* Solid understanding of construction environments, ideally with experience and civil engineering exposure.
* Full UK driving licence (travel required).
* Experience delivering training and conducting audits.
* Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001.
* Familiarity with UK HSE legislation and ACOPs.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications such as, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Lead Auditor status.
* CSCS card.
* Electrical background or qualification.
* Experience with integrated management systems.
