Would you like to contribute to a multitude of Public Health projects covering topics such as nicotine use, giving children the best start in life, and warmer home initiatives? Do you enjoy scrutinising data and generating ideas for data quality improvement? Is report building and generating insights for action something that interests you? This is an exciting opportunity to join the Research and Intelligence team as a Public Health Intelligence Analyst within the Gwent Public Health Team.
This is a key role in supporting our ambition to promote health equality and equity in Gwent by producing intelligence to inform evidence-based decision-making. This role embodies the full data and intelligence cycle: gathering data, cleansing data, transforming data, and creating outputs that help tell the story of Gwent. Sourcing new data flows for our data warehouse, maintaining existing data flows, routine reporting, and ad hoc requests are important tasks within this role. A keen eye for process improvement and ideas for data quality improvement solutions are central to all tasks. Supporting important projects such as the development of a Population Management Approach within Gwent, and giving data and intelligence a voice by sharing insights across the team and with system partners aligned to priority workstreams.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
