Our defence sector client is currently recruiting SC cleared Systems Engineers for initial 6-month contracts. The contracts offer a hybrid working arrangement of 2-3 days onsite in Bristol and the remainder working from home.
Responsibilities
The Systems Engineering (SE) Consultant is accountable for delivering high-quality engineering support and value for money to the business. They are responsible for providing specific technical services to clients, including:
* Technical leadership and direction of engineering initiatives or workstreams, focusing on outcomes, benefits, and capability.
* Supporting and advising on engineering planning, management, and delivery of projects.
* Critical review of engineering project material and approaches, including red team reviews.
* Development of technical requirements and assessment management strategies and criteria.
* Advising on technical risk, opportunities management, and mitigation/exploitation strategies.
* Development of engineering project artefacts supporting the entire CADMID lifecycle plus pre-Concept.
* Producing tender assessment criteria and participating in tender assessment processes as a technical expert.
* Leading workshops and working groups to address specific technical issues and outputs.
* Sharing good systems engineering practices across the organization, upskilling others, and positively influencing organizational processes.
Experience
* Experience in planning, delivering, monitoring, and controlling systems engineering processes, artefacts, and governance.
* Ability to apply systems thinking to project challenges, driving and coordinating good practice across defence.
