Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 (DOE) + annual bonus & benefits.
Work Level: 2.
Location: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Southampton or Reigate.
Work type: Permanent.
Office Attendance: Hybrid; 1-2 days per week at an office, occasional travel.

What you’ll be doing
* Aligning procurement activities with Tesco Underwriting strategic objectives.
* Identifying contract requirements and writing specifications for existing contracts and/or new contracts.
* Contract Management, managing the delivery of a major part of our contract management program while taking personal responsibility for a limited number of mission‑critical contracts.
* Effectively building formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside of Tesco Underwriting.
* Keeping track of risk parameters, identifying any more deviations and reporting them to senior colleagues.
* Developing stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these to support the communication of business information and decisions.
* Supporting the TU Procurement Team with procurement activities, including contract administration, tracking, and reporting to maintain governance and efficiency.
* Delivering high savings targets through implementation of robust sourcing events, ensuring that suppliers meet all operational requirements whilst providing best value for Tesco Underwriting.
* Consistently track and report on savings targets for specified sub‑categories using the agreed process.
* Using sound judgement to build new and develop existing supplier relationships to ensure continued suitability and create greater value across Tesco Underwriting.
* Supporting the business to achieve compliance with legal, ethical, and social procurement policies with integrity and good judgement.
What you’ll need to have
* Proven experience of leading RFP process for Tier 1 suppliers.
* Experience in categories: Professional services and Claims supply chain.
* Robust experience in procurement for Underwriting and Claims services.
* Motor / home / personal lines experience is advantageous.
* CIPS qualified or working towards this.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment, ensuring procurement activities align with our strategic objectives.
* Experience working inside a large corporate entity with global reach.
