Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Full time)
Wisbech
£89 to £100 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
This role will begin in March 2026.
The School and Role
We are looking for a commited and motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive staff team.
The successful candidate will work alongside teachers to provide high-quality learning support, helping pupils reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and purposeful environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities
2. Assist in the planning and preparation of lessons, resources, and displays
3. Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs
4. Monitor and record pupils’ progress and provide feedback to teachers
5. Help maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment
6. Promote inclusion and support the emotional and social development of pupils
7. Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and on school trips as required
Requirements:
The desired Level 2 Teaching Assistant will have:
8. Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
9. Full DBS clearance
10. 2 recent references to support your employment with children
11. A full UK driving licence and access to a car
12. Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
14. A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning
15. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
16. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
