We are looking for a meticulous and technically proficient Image Capture Technician to join our screening operations team. This role is critical in operating advanced X-Ray and CT (2D/3D) screening equipment to inspect a variety of items including trays, bags, and pallets. The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing, cataloguing, and preparing high-quality X-Ray images for integration into specialized training and compliance systems. This position demands a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strict adherence to security protocols, particularly when working with dangerous goods. Flexibility to travel to client sites for bespoke image capture assignments is also required.
Responsibilities
* Operate X-Ray and CT (2D/3D) screening machines to inspect various items.
* Capture and catalogue images in accordance with established procedures and naming conventions.
* Extract and prepare images for upload into training and data systems.
* Supplement X-Ray images with physical photographs where applicable.
* Conduct quality assurance checks on all images and associated data entries.
* Maintain secure inventory records for dangerous goods, ensuring restricted access.
* Safely handle items up to 25kg, using lifting equipment when necessary.
* Adhere to digital storage protocols and standardized naming conventions.
* Collaborate with product development, compliance, and data teams to ensure workflow efficiency and regulatory compliance.
* Maintain detailed logs of all screening and image capture activities.
* Support audits and inspections by providing accurate documentation and image records.
* Manage the full image capture lifecycle from planning and acquisition to processing, cataloguing, and deployment.
Qualifications
* Experience operating X-Ray and CT screening equipment in regulated environments (e.g., airports, customs, secure logistics).
* Strong knowledge of digital imaging, file extraction, and cataloguing practices.
* Familiarity with data entry systems and secure digital storage protocols.
* Experience handling and documenting dangerous goods in line with safety regulations.
* Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
* Ability to lift and maneuver items up to 25kg safely.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Security clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance may be required.
