We are recruiting a proactive Service Controller for a well‑established forklift and material handling service business. The role is ideal for someone with technical knowledge within the forklift industry, capable of coordinating service operations, managing engineers, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. You will be based in Glasgow and play a pivotal role in delivering fast, reliable support to customers across Scotland and the UK.
Overview
As Service Controller, you will be at the heart of the service operation.
You'll manage incoming calls, allocate engineer jobs, monitor service performance, and support customers through enquiries and breakdowns.
Strong technical awareness of forklift servicing, maintenance, and workshop operations is essential, as you will need to speak confidently with clients and technical teams.
You will work closely with service engineers, sales, and management to deliver a reliable and high‑quality customer experience. Deal with ordering and managing partsRequirements
Experience in a service coordination, control, or planning role in the forklift or material handling industry or an engineer looking to take a step back off the tools
Technical understanding of forklift servicing, maintenance processes, common faults, and parts
Ability to schedule, prioritise, and dispatch mobile engineers efficiently
Excellent communicator with a customer‑focused approach
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident using CRM / job management systems and basic IT tools
A full UK driving licence is requiredSalary and benefits
