Purpose
: Based in Market Harborough, Deichmann UK, a subsidiary of Deichmann SE is looking to recruit an enthusiastic & motivated individual to join our Finance & Payroll team as an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis, £25,500 per annum. Ideal candidate: Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful applicant will support and assist in all aspects of work undertaken within the Finance & Payroll Department, including, accounts, imports, payroll, and general administration. Key activities:
1. Process of incoming mail both electronically and otherwise
2. Process of Import documentation for customs clearance and deal with any queries
3. Check, manage and process business expenditure
4. Verify and record key business expenses for analysis
5. Responsible for monitoring relevant ledger accounts and deal with any queries
6. Complete tasks to assist in the production of monthly management accounts
7. General administration associated with the Finance function
8. Liaising with suppliers to resolve outstanding issues
9. Assist in other departmental activity in order to deliver on deadlines and targets
Personal characteristics:
10. Educated to GCSE A level or equivalent and/or have worked at this level
11. Possess effective organisational skills
12. Able to work to deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail
13. Have good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel & Powerpoint)
14. Able to work effectively on own initiative or as part of a team
15. An effective communicator, both verbally and written
16. Flexible approach to work and able to adapt to meet changing work priorities
17. Motivated and enthusiastic
18. Ideally have relevant previous experience of accounts payable/ purchase ledger.
