Offer description

Overview

We’re seeking enthusiastic nurses to develop skills in caring for children and young people (ages 3–25) with complex health needs such as epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and physical disabilities. We provide 24/7 specialist care across our school, in the residential and short breaks services at Chailey Heritage Foundation. This unique role involves working in partnership in a supportive environment, empowering young people to express their preferences and take part in activities like crafting, horse riding, swimming, day trips, and holidays.

A lack of relevant experience is not required; we value empathy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. You will be supported to become competent in catheterisation, tracheostomy care, ventilation, and seizure management. You’ll gain valuable experience in neurological care and access to ongoing development opportunities to advance your career.

Due to our rural location, access to transport is essential. Free on-site parking and EV charging are available.

Please note: this is a part-time vacancy, therefore due to recent changes in UK immigration and visa rules, this role is unlikely to be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants who do not currently have the right to work in the UK may not be considered. Candidates requiring sponsorship should review the eligibility criteria on the gov.uk website before applying to assess their eligibility for a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

To develop skills and knowledge within the field of complex health needs and physical disability, ensuring the relevant clinical skills required for management of safe nursing care are maintained.
