The General Manager's primary overriding responsibility is Industrial Safety. Their leadership behaviours and tactical activities must put the wellbeing of their team, and everybody on the Station, above all.
Their core functional responsibility is the creation, continual development, and delivery of a strategic business plan for operations on their Station, collaboratively with the account SMT and directly aligned to the Station Director's objectives.
Key to this is the design and delivery of the tactical operational and people processes to achieve the business plan, and through liaison with the account SMT drive a culture of continual improvement both operational and financial, based upon an engaged and safe team.
