Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Sales Manager located in Basingstoke with flexibility for some remote work. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales activities, including developing and executing sales strategies, identifying and pursuing leads, building customer relationships, managing the sales team, and maintaining sales records. The Sales Manager will also collaborate with other teams to ensure the successful implementation of ECM™ software solutions for customers.
Responsibilities
* Work with lead generation partners to qualify & close out new customer opportunities using a consultative approach to ensure both parties get the best possible outcome
* Assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market penetration.
* Identify and establish strategic partnerships with resellers, distributors, and other key players in the industry.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
* Utilise market insights to adapt and refine the sales approach and product positioning.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key target clients and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with the product development team to gather customer feedback and contribute to product enhancement.
* Collaborate with the Product Strategy team, and Inform & have input into the product roadmap
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven track record of successful sales in a software solutions environment, preferably within the financial technology or bulk cash handling industry.
* Experience in a consultative selling approach would be desirable
* Demonstrate an Entrepreneurial spirit whilst maintaining a strong team ethic.
* Strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate market trends into actionable plans.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
* Previous experience in a complex solution selling environment.
* Ability to build strong external relationships with Customers and partners
* Strong presentation skills
* Previous experience in preparing, developing and replying to customer proposal including complex formal business tenders.
* Basic level understanding of software development methodologies, technologies and tools
* Good attention to detail
* Ability to identify commercial issues and areas of business risk
* Strong team skills with ability to work closely with other functions within the business to achieve targets.
* Highly motivated to succeed
* Creative and able to think ‘outside the box’
* A track record of establishing and/or growing a reseller partnership network would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; while advantageous is certainly not mandatory.
