Responsibilities
* Perform core operational tasks such as goods receipt, put away, pick and pack customer orders in alignment with established company processes and SSW (Safe System of Work) documentation.
* Assist with regular and ad hoc site activities such as full inventory checks, system development and implementation.
* Ensure stock is stored, handled and transported securely and in line with company procedures, hygiene legislation and health and safety guidelines.
* Provide a professional, courteous and efficient service to all customers.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in the workplace, complying with company and legislative standards at all times.
* Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others, follow safety and quality systems, raise concerns, and report incidents or suggestions to your line manager.
* Support and assist newly appointed or less experienced colleagues by providing training and guidance as appropriate.
* Provide cover for absent colleagues as required and regularly refresh on processes to ensure this can be achieved effectively.
* Undertake forklift truck duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are conducted and warehouse guidelines observed.
* Any other duties required for the smooth running of the business.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Regular repetitive lifting (light to heavy). Manual handling training to be provided.
* Previous warehouse experience.
* Strong customer focus and reliable attendance and timekeeping.
* Honest, trustworthy, and able to work unsupervised.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to learn, respond positively to feedback, and contribute ideas.
* Pragmatic problem-solving with a safety-conscious approach.
* Good understanding of safe working practices and a positive team player.
* Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
* Numeracy and literacy skills; IT competent (MS Office).
* Qualified to operate a Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Truck (if required).
* Actively demonstrates TD SYNNEX’s shared values.
