Join our team as a Senior Commercial Property Agent

* Salary commensurate with experience
* Working hours and days will be 9:00 – 17:30 Monday – Friday


We are

An independent property consultancy founded in 1986 with eight offices across London and the South of England. We provide advice on all elements of commercial property, land and investment to individuals, businesses and funds. Our head office, based in Maidenhead, is looking to recruit another commercial property agent to expand to our existing team.

We are looking for a new agent with experience.


You are

An enthusiastic, responsible person with an enquiring mind and an interest in all elements of commercial property. The successful candidate will need to show good attention to detail, thoroughness and a pro-active attitude in the way that they work. You will have a flexible and can-do working attitude be self-motivated and able to multi-task extensively.

You will work with and report to the head of the agency department. As part of an established team, this is a demanding role that requires excellent communication and reporting skills with both clients & colleagues.

The role is suited to an agent with experience. Qualifications will be recognised but are not essential.


Main duties of role

You will be working as part of our team alongside the head of our agency department, reporting to him but also to our valued clients and applicants.

Your role will include:

* Preparation of property marketing material including initiation and implementation of marketing campaigns.
* Negotiation of terms with KCC clients and prospective purchasers and tenants (depending on experience).
* Call handling and responding to inbound enquiries from clients, potential clients and applicants, both calls and emails.
* Conducting viewings of vacant and tenanted property, land and investments.
* Provision of feedback to clients after viewings.
* Undertake negotiations of terms on a letting / sale (depending on experience).
* Drafting heads of terms and seeing the legal process through to completion – agency pipeline management. (depending on experience).
* Raising fee accounts accordingly as per agreed T&Cs.
* Ensure marketing costs are recovered as per signed T&C’s upon completion, in addition to the fee account.
* Business Development – inspecting and reporting to retained and prospective clients (depending on experience).
* Managing applicant lists to match requirements with available properties.
* Assisting with ‘site searches’ including making telephone enquiries about properties and compiling available properties into easy-to-read schedules.


Skills Criteria

Compulsory skill set:

* Experience of the commercial and/or residential property sectors. RICS qualification beneficial but not essential.
* Willingness to roll sleeves up and carry out all tasks from the most straight forward of daily tasks such as fielding applicant queries to more demanding jobs such as undertaking negotiations and reporting to clients, and pitching for new clients.
* To be personable and able to build excellent working relationships with all.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Full UK driving licence.

Compulsory technical skill set:

* Working knowledge of Outlook
* Working knowledge of Word
