We are seeking two Project Support Officers to support the work of the Orthopaedic Service Improvement Programme, the newly established Quality and Patient Safety Transformation Programme and the associated workstreams within these two high priority areas for the Trust.
These are key project roles within the Medical Directorate, responsible for supporting the two programmes mentioned above, and ensuring the governance remains in place and robust as the programmes complete and move into business as usual. You’ll work closely with the Senior
Leadership of the Medical Director’s Office, Directorate Leadership Teams, Executive Management Team and Communications.
The Project Support Officer provides practical project management support to the Medical Director’s Office and to colleagues across the Trust, ensuring delivery of significant change programmes including large-scale cost improvement schemes.
The postholder will be expected to provide support on complex projects as well as project manage some less-complex projects, helping to embed use of the Trust’s project management tools, undertaking high quality analysis and data support, and providing assurance of delivery.
This is a demanding role, requiring a high degree of organisational skill, demonstrating a high level of accuracy and an ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and deal with competing priorities. Applicants will require excellent communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail, and an ability to work under pressure.

Main duties of the job
* Support managers across the Trust to effectively estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful delivery of projects to an agreed scope;
* Agree and track key performance and quality indicators, and regularly review outstanding actions associated with Better Value schemes, working with the relevant leads;
* Report regularly on programme delivery and benefits realisation, maintaining an up-to-date and evidence-based tracker and ensuring early warning of slippage;
* Highlight any specific resource issues or areas of slippage, and assist with action to address these;
* Keep and follow up on a record of actions and milestones required for the progression of key
programmes or projects of work.
