What You’ll Be Doing
21. Supporting pupils with autism and complex needs (1:1 and small groups)
22. Assisting teachers with lessons, activities, and behaviour support
23. Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
24. Supporting routines, transitions, and personal care (where required)
25. Delivering engaging indoor and outdoor learning experiences
26. Supporting life skills such as cooking, gardening, and community activities
27. Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
28. Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (education, care, or support work) training is provided don’t let minimal experience stop you from applying.
29. A patient, calm, and resilient approach
30. Strong communication and teamwork skills
31. GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
32. Basic IT skills
Desirable:
33. Qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning or similar
Important to Know
This role can be physically and emotionally demanding. Some pupils may display behaviours of concern, and you will need to respond with calmness, consistency, and empathy.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Safeguarding
This role requires an Enhanced DBS check, including a barred list check.
