FINTEC recruit is seeking an Research & Development R&D CAD Laboratory Technician f or our client an international manufacturing business based in Kent, working within a laboratory environment. This is a permanent position, salary negotiable by experience up to circa £35,500 5% performance bonus plus additional benefits which include contributory pension, healthcare, income protection, life assurance and more. Working 37.5 hours per week, hybrid WFH 1 or 2 days per week. Working Monday to Friday 09:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with flexibility around start finish times. Some travel involved to other company sites within the UK and Europe. This role could suit a graduate who has some experience of working within a laboratory environment and has AutoCAD knowledge and able to read technical drawings. Responsibilities: Maintain a clean organised laboratory environment, assisting design, setting up and mechanical testing to support product testing and development Support the products and drywall systems test plans (acoustics/fire and Structural) Contribute to development of drywall systems to optimise raw materials and costs while ensuring quality and performance consistency Recording accurate experimental results, maintaining logs and tests and procedures Skills and Experience required for the R&D CAD Technician role: Degree in a building, science, or engineering-related field Are you knowledgeable and experienced in using AutoCAD Hands-on experience of working within a laboratory environment, with a strong understanding of scientific methods and analytical thinking Knowledge of AutoCAD for design and interpretation of technical drawings Knowledge of plasterboard systems installation and plaster formulations desirable not an essential Understanding of fire and acoustic test requirements and attention to detail. UK drivers licence & flexible to travel to other company sites on occasions with the UK & Europe Willingness to undertake further training Full details of the R&D CAD Laboratory Technician is available on application.
