CMM Operator – Redditch | Days, Monday to Thursday | £14.00 per hour | Permanent
A Redditch based, industry-leading manufacturer is looking to add a CMM Operator to join their team. This state-of-the-art facility designs, manufactures, and assembles precision forged and machined components for a variety of industries. The role will involve working rotating morning and afternoon shifts on a day shift basis.
Responsibilities and duties revolve around dimensional inspection using a Coordinate Measuring Machine. The software is PC-DMIS, so experience with PC-DMIS is preferred, but candidates with experience of other packages will be considered.
Responsibilities
* Initial Sample Inspection Reports
* General measurements for production processes
* Ensure the safe operation of CMM machines
* Support New Part Introduction process
* Influence machine utilisation and Right First Time measures
* Ensure product quality and batch traceability is maintained at all times
* Ensure all documentation is recorded accurately as defined by procedures
* Calibration of gauges and fixtures
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience in CMM operation (PC‑DMIS software preferred)
* Good understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings, specifications and geometric tolerances
* Experience in an automotive / aerospace manufacturing environment
* Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control
