Job Description:
This post provides an excellent opportunity for an accredited Echocardiographer to join the team at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital. The unit is one of the most advanced Cardiac Ultrasound services in the UK. This post provides the opportunity to work with the very latest ultrasound technology, utilising cutting edge imaging modalities and analysis, for example 4D ventricle volumetric quantification, 4D mitral valve quantification, Strain analysis, 4D TOE and Exercise and pharmacological Stress Echo. The department is well supported by sessions from three Consultant Cardiologists (one full time in Imaging) and an Associate Specialist. There are regular clinical and governance sessions to ensure that knowledge and guidelines are incorporated to the routine clinical practice. The department is working to achieve Echo Quality Framework that would allow the award of BSE and European Departmental Accreditation.
The Echocardiography team supports the work of the National services including, Adult Congenital, Pulmonary Vascular, Heart Failure and Heart Transplant as well as Cardiac Surgical Services and structural Interventional services.
This is a fixed term 37.0 hours post with flexible working patterns.
Experience in Education and Training in Echocardiography is a regular aspect of the role.
