We are seeking an experienced Senior CS&A Engineer to support the delivery of civil, structural, and architectural elements on a major project. This role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills to interface effectively with the Integrated Design Team, facility teams, and project functions.
Role: Nuclear Senior Civil, Structural & Architectural (CS&A) Engineer
Location: Warrington (Hybrid 2/3 days In Office)
Contract Length: 12 Months
Rate: £55 an hour (Inside IR35)
Key Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to the delivery of CS&A design deliverables including calculations, assessments, drawings, specifications, and reports.
Check and approve design outputs for quality and compliance and ability to work independently while engaging effectively with colleagues to deliver high-quality outputs.
Provide technical expertise in the design of concrete, steel, and masonry structures, considering normal and abnormal environmental loading conditions (including seismic assessments where applicable).
Support project delivery throughout all phases, including site visits and coordination with stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, design responsibilities, and safety standards within a regulated environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree-qualified Civil/Structural Engineer (or equivalent via experience) and Chartership is desired.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g. nuclear, defence, or similar).
Proficient in structural design of steel and concrete to current codes and experience producing and checking civil/structural design documentation, including calculations, drawings, specifications, scopes, and method statements.
Able to work independently while engaging effectively with colleagues to deliver high-quality outputs.
