The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting the mechanical installation of photovoltaic (PV) trackers, fixed tilt, floating, and special structures (carport) on a large-scale solar project. The role ensures work is executed according to the manufacturer’s installation manual, project specifications, and safety standards. It requires close collaboration with the site manager, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Key Tasks
1. Oversee material delivery from suppliers
2. Monitor installation works, including piling, upper structure, module installation, and cable dressing
3. Coordinate with stakeholders such as engineering and surveyors
4. Supervise and monitor mechanical works
5. Oversee lifting activities
6. Ensure quality inspections of materials (e.g., gravel, concrete, steel)
7. Comply with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
8. Conduct inspections and document works
9. Maintain the quality management system
10. Support weekly and monthly progress reporting
11. Report delays and breaches
Requirements
1. Technical education in Construction or Mechanical Engineering
2. 1-3 years of experience in construction, preferably in PV; experience in wind, gas, or oil sectors is also acceptable
3. Strong construction expertise
4. Proficiency in MS Office
5. Good communication skills in English; knowledge of German, Spanish, French, Italian, or Dutch is a plus
6. Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and stakeholders
7. Familiarity with construction and logistics of solar projects
8. Technical understanding of solar PV systems
9. Willingness to travel up to 99%
