About the Role
You will play a key role in delivering a professional, discreet, and security focused welcome to all visitors, guests, and employees across the Port. Acting as a visible yet unobtrusive presence, you will ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment at all times.
With a strong focus on customer service and security awareness, you will protect people, property, and information through knowledgeable and proactive engagement. You will also act as the central point of contact for all Port Pass related matters, ensuring a smooth, accurate, and seamless experience throughout the premises.
This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm and effective in a busy, operational environment.
Working hours: 42 hours per week, across a 7 day rota including weekends.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in a security focused environment and/or formal security awareness training (essential)
* Proven experience delivering excellent customer service
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Confident IT user, including Microsoft Office
* Have a flexible and professional approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
* Proactive mindset, with a strong commitment to discretion and confidentiality
* Self motivated and self aware, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Ability to work shifts and weekends as part of a rota
* Previous experience within a visitor centre or access control systems (desirable)
* Conflict management experience (desirable)

Salary: IRO £29k
