As our Insurance Finance Operations Analyst, you will play a vital role in connecting policy administration, brokers, insurers, and finance to ensure everything fits together accurately, efficiently, and transparently. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a small-business environment: owning processes, improving them, and becoming the go-to expert in how premiums, bordereaux data, cashflow and operational finance come together.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in insurance finance operations, premium accounting, or similar finance-operations role
* Strong reconciliation skills — you love solving problems in the numbers
* Good understanding of the insurance premium lifecycle
* Comfortable working with data from multiple systems and spotting inconsistencies
* Proactive, hands-on and able to take ownership
* Excel/Sheets competent (intermediate level or above)
* Experience in a growing business or fast-changing environment is a bonus
* Part-qualified or studying for an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) helpful but not required

About The Role
What you’ll be doing
Premium Accounting & Reconciliation
* Reconcile policy sales, premiums, fees and commissions between internal systems, MGAs, brokers and insurer statements
* Perform regular cash allocation and premium matching
* Resolve discrepancies through investigation and work closely with operational teams and partners
* Maintain clean, accurate ledger balances and sub-ledger links
Finance Operations
* Monitor the full premium lifecycle: quote → bind → bordereaux → cash collection → insurer settlement
* Support the production of insurer reporting and settlement bordereaux
* Track and forecast cash movements and operational finance metrics
* Prepare and maintain MI relating to operational finance performance
Process & Systems
* Identify control weaknesses and implement improvements
* Work with operations and underwriting teams to ensure accurate data flows
* Support integration projects between finance systems, policy platforms, and reporting tools
* Help refine reconciliations, workflows and documentation as the company scales
Cross-Business Collaboration
* Work closely with underwriting, sales, claims, and accounting functions
* Provide insight and clarity around premium movements and financial impacts
* Be a trusted point of contact for external partners (brokers, TPAs, MGAs, insurers)
