Location: Harlow Bros, Coalville, LE67 3TH Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hours of Work: 44.5 average per week and these will be worked flexibly between 7.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday, times to be agreed with line manager, with a 30-minute lunch break and a minimum of 26 Saturday mornings per year from 8am to 12pm, generally worked on alternate weekends. Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated 7.5T Driver / Yard Assistant to join our team at Harlow Bros, Coalville. The 7.5T Driver / Yard Assistant role can be broken down into two parts, the first of two parts is to deliver goods from the branch to customers in and around the branch's surrounding area. The second part of the role is to be part of a team of operatives that work together to maintain a safe, clean, fully functional site, offer a knowledgeable, helpful, and professional service to our customers and to undertake various duties as the individual's skill set develops and as directed by the Yard Supervisor What you'll be doing as a 7.5T Driver / Yard Assistant : You will be called upon to drive our 7.5T truck to make deliveries to customers in a safe, lawful and professional way Focussing on load security & highway laws and drive safely and efficiently to delivery destinations and in reasonable time Providing a prompt, polite, helpful and professional service to customers in branch and at delivery destinations, always promoting a positive company image Identifying, picking, processing, and issuing goods accurately and to deadlines, working from written pick notes and job sheets Using forklift truck to pick products and load customers vehicles, training can be provided if required Your Skills: Driving License to category C1 Forklift Truck Licence (training can be provided if required) Basic literate and numerate ability Ability to provide a courteous and professional approach to customers Ability to self-motivate, organise, and execute tasks Ability to work safely and cleanly Desirable but non-essential Timber knowledge Machine capability Forklift License Manual Handling Training What We Offer: Life assurance cover Access to 24/7 online GP 10% Discount across Harlow Bros.
