About the Role
This is a senior leadership position for an accomplished Project Director with a proven track record in design & build or commercial interiors. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of multiple high-value projects from concept through completion, while also bringing a strong client network and commercial acumen to support ongoing business growth.
The role will combine strategic leadership, operational management, and client relationship development — ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where quality and creativity go hand in hand.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee delivery of multiple design & build projects, ensuring quality, programme, and profitability targets are achieved.

Lead and mentor project managers, design leads, and delivery teams.

Act as the main client contact — developing, maintaining, and expanding key relationships.

Leverage existing client connections and networks to identify and convert new business opportunities.
*
Chair client, design, and progress meetings, providing strategic and commercial leadership.
*
Manage budgets, forecasts, and commercial reporting to ensure margin protection.
*
Oversee procurement, contract management, and value engineering processes.
*
Contribute to company growth strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
*
10+ years’ experience in senior project management or director-level roles within design & build, interiors, or fit-out.
*
Proven ability to deliver multiple large-scale commercial projects successfully.
*
Strong commercial understanding of contracts, procurement, and cost management.
*
Established client base or network within the London fit-out / workplace sector.
*
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
*
Strategic thinker with the ability to lead teams and influence at executive level.
*
Degree or equivalent qualification in construction, engineering, or a related discipline (RICS / CIOB preferred).
*
Confident operating in a hybrid and client-facing environment
