Eidyn Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Support Workers in Edinburgh to support children with Autism and Learning Disabilities. We offer flexible roles – whether you're looking for full-time hours, part-time shifts, or bank work.
This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to Scotland's GIRFEC (Getting It Right For Every Child) approach and are passionate about delivering care that promotes wellbeing, safety, and positive outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver person-centred support tailored to each child's needs
* Encourage communication, independence, and emotional resilience
* Promote inclusion and positive behaviour in daily routines
* Work in partnership with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams
* Follow care plans and contribute to ongoing assessments and reviews
* Support the principles of GIRFEC, ensuring the wellbeing indicators (SHANARRI) are central to care
Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with Autism and Learning Disabilities
* SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent – or currently working towards it
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and GIRFEC principles
* Excellent communication, patience, and empathy
* Registered or eligible for registration with the SSSC
