QUALITY ENGINEER – PART-TIME
We are seeking a Quality Engineer on a Part-time basis in order to provide support to the Quality team.
We are a long-established manufacturing organisation, and are currently enjoying an uplift in demand for our products.

DUTIES
10. Maintain and support the IATF 16949 Quality Management System.
11. Coordinate the annual product testing schedule in collaboration with external laboratories.
12. Manage internal non-conformance and supplier reject systems, ensuring effective documentation and resolution.
13. Support new engineering projects through the APQP process, with a focus on plant-level involvement.
14. Drive internal PPM (Parts Per Million) improvement initiatives and lead problem-solving activities.
15. Assist cross-functional teams in resolving quality issues using 8D methodology.
16. Oversee calibration schedules for all internal equipment, including internal checks and coordination with external calibration providers.
17. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to coordinate and implement product and process improvement initiatives.
18. Monitor internal scrap levels and lead improvement activities with production teams.
19. Manage and maintain supplier Certificates of Conformity and associated documentation.
20. Maintain and update customer quality portals, providing regular reports on audit and project status to management.
21. Create, review, and revise quality documentation, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, and other related documents.
22. Conduct audits covering quality systems, processes, LPA (Layered Process Audits), and basic quality practices.
REQUIREMENTS
23. It is essential that you have Quality Engineer experience
24. Must have gained experience from within manufacturing
25. A good standard of IT literacy is important – exposure to SAP would be advantageous
26. Proven problem-solving skills 8D and 5 Why analysis
27. Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques
28. Strong understanding of ISO9001 and TS16949 would be ideal though not essential
