We are now looking for a
CNC Milling Machinist
to join our team working for a better future.
The location for the position is in Havant, UK.
As CNC Milling Machinist, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
1. Clear communications and hands on approach with a strong work ethic
2. Drive improvements as part of continuous improvement culture
3. Working in a safe manner in line with the companies Health and Safety policy
4. Maintain working area to a good standard as part of 5S implementation
5. Ensure quality is maintained and follow processes for area are correctly implemented to company standards
6. Carry out tasks in accordance with set process times to meet deadline.
7. Have a flexible approach and at times move onto other disciplines within skill set
8. Help with skills flex training and cross train others when required.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
9. Ideally Apprentice served
10. Heidenhain Programming
11. Familiar with Turning and Milling techniques
12. Experience with handling of composite materials is an advantage
13. Understand Health& Safety environment/procedures
14. Read and understand Engineering drawings
15. Good communicator with all levels of business (written & verbal)
16. Education: GCSE/O Level or equivalent. Apprentice served
17. Experience: 5 years (min) Engineering experience within the manufacturing industry 5 years (min) CNC Programming knowledge (Heidenhain) Modern Tool Cutting knowledge Experience working with castings and various metals - Inconel/Aluminium bronze/Cast Iron/Duplex/stainless steel CI experience (Lean 7 wastes) Safety / 5S Computer Literate (Microsoft)
