PositionSummary:
We are currentlyrecruiting for an Accounts PayableAdministrator to join our existing Finance team on atemporary basis within our Power & Industrial (P&I)division in Cramlington Northumberland. The successful candidatewill perform various accounting duties of moderate complexityincluding but not limited to data entry processing vouchers andinvoices compiling segments of monthly closing annual reportspaying vendors reconciling statementsetc.
PositionResponsibilities:
* Toensure the timely processing of vendor invoices ensuring they arecoded accurately in accordance with established accounting systemsand HMRC regulations around VAT and the Construction IndustryScheme (CIS).
* To strengthen relationships withvendors by ensuring account statements are reconciled regularly andby resolving invoicing discrepancies either individually oridentifying the individual within AAF Limited who can resolve thequery.
* To help maintain and verify bankingaccount details held within the ERP system for vendors to ensureaccuracy of payments.
* Prepare weekly paymentruns and set up payments with relevant supporting documentation toallow timely payment of balances due.
* Reviewand maintain the AP ledger for old balances negative balancesbalances to be prepaid or anything that appears unusual and reportto finance management.

Essential:
* Level3 qualification orequivalent.
Desirable:
* Relevantcertification (CIMA ACCA ACAAAT)
*Completed qualifications froman accredited institution may be substituted for experience on ayear for yearbasis.

* Previous experience within anaccounting function.
* Comfortable working on anumber of projects simultaneously.
* Knowledge ofaccounting terms and concepts.

* Computerliterate and able to learn a wide range of software packages with afocus on MicrosoftExcel.

* Previousexperience of working in a manufacturing/engineeringcompany.
* Knowledge and experience of workingwith an ERP (preferably Microsoft AX orSAP)
