About the Role
Your focus as General Manager will be to lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent person‑centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring and stimulating environment while meeting regulatory requirements and business performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring the consistent delivery of high‑quality person‑centred care and ensuring residents receive care based on best practice.
* Being responsible for the ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the home.
* Acting as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in residents’ wellbeing.
* Ensuring safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with occupancy and dependency.
* Providing ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
* Ensuring costs are well managed and maintained within budgetary controls by reviewing regularly and monitoring stock.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum of four years of experience in a similar care environment.
* Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent.
* Excellent leadership and management skills.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and competence in IT.
* Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
Additional Requirements
* DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by employer).
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
