Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Alcester, seeking to appoint a Head of Year from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and play a pivotal role in shaping the pastoral care and academic progress of students.

The Role Outlined:
Lead the pastoral care and academic progress of a full year group
Monitor attendance, behaviour, wellbeing, and progress – ensuring every student is supported to succeed
Work closely with teaching staff, SLT, and parents/carers to maintain high standards
Foster a positive culture of respect, ambition, and inclusion across the year group
Support and contribute to whole-school initiatives and strategic improvement plans
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working in a secondary setting in a head of year/pastoral role
Demonstrates a strong pastoral ethos and a proven track record of supporting young people
Confident in managing behaviour and leading interventions to promote progress
Able to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
A team player with strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
